The Hierarchy feature visually represents the organizational structure within your account by showing who reports to whom in a clear, diagrammatic format. This helps users and admins easily understand reporting relationships, managerial levels, and team alignment across the platform.

Minimize clutter by collapsing a reporting manager’s tree with a single click. The system will show how many users report to them in brackets.

 

How to Create or Modify a Hierarchy

To build or adjust your team hierarchy:

Step-by-Step Process

  • Navigate to Hierarchy Settings:
    Go to Site Setup → Hierarchy. This opens the interactive Hierarchy Settings Panel.

  • Assign Reporting Relationships (Drag-and-Drop)
    • Locate the user you want to assign under a manager.
    • Drag their banner and drop it on the manager’s name.
    • A green line box appears to confirm the drop location.
    • Once dropped, the user appears slightly indented under the manager’s name, indicating they now report to them.

  • Collapse or Expand Reporting Trees
    Click on a manager’s name to collapse their hierarchy view.
    • The system displays the number of direct reports in brackets (e.g., “John Doe (4)”).

  • Customize What Information Is Displayed
    On the right-hand ‘Display Fields’ panel, check the boxes for any additional user details you’d like shown (e.g., email, phone number, team).
    • These details will appear next to each user’s name in the hierarchy.

  • View Complete User Information
    • Click the ‘More Details’ icon on the right side of any user’s banner.
    • A full profile panel opens with information such as contact details, reporting path, created/modified date, and more.
